Back in stock ! Label info: Over the past few years John Tejada has been splitting his time working with long time collaborator Arian Leviste and more recent collaborator Justin Maxwell. Why not combine all 3 Palette All-Stars is just that. A collaboration between the 3 main Palette artists, each (Tejada, Leviste and Maxwell) playing a particular role in each song. From the EP opener, 'After School Special' you get a sense of the trio each working on a particular element. Tejada's driving drums, Maxwell's modular synth work, and Leviste's bassline elements sculpt a driving track with a classic feel. 'The Pilot' features Leviste's smooth melodic synth work while Maxwell processes through the modular and Tejada privides the dubby beats. The EP finisher 'Downtown Hotel' features a mad Maxwell modular freakout and driving 808s.
